POSITION SUMMARY

Receives requests for quotes, orders and lead times from customers; makes quotations on standard and custom items, writes orders, and relays pertinent information to customers. Coordinates with vendors as well as other internal departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers. Focus on Retail Business to generate revenue and will be the primary contact for our Vendor, Parker Hannifin, to manage the Retail side of our business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Should have strong hose and fittings experience preferably with Parker products.

• Understand performance characteristics of hydraulic and pneumatic hose products in order to

ensure proper selection of replacement parts.

• Have the ability to interpret hydraulic and pneumatic system schematics at a basic level in order to

ensure proper selection of replacement parts.

• Have the ability to interpret hydraulic and pneumatic system schematics at a basic level in order to

acceptance of a product.

• Place new merchandise on display; keep the Parker store neat, clean and well stocked.

• Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain functions of equipment.

• Fill customer orders from stock.

• Determine replacement parts, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or

customers' descriptions of needs.

• Receive and fill telephone orders for parts, install and recommend connector solutions to

customers in their facilities.

• Works with Credit Department.

• Specify and fabricate hose assemblies using the onboard facilities provided. • Resolves customer complaints within their authority range.

• Prioritizes and assigns work and other duties as necessary.

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, advanced hydraulic degree
