Education:
- Bachelor's degree in new media or digital marketing, business, or equivalent years of related work experience required.
Work Experiences:
- 8+ years of related work experience required.
- 2+ years of management experience with strong people development background.
- Digital campaign management experience with an omni-channel focus.
- Deep understanding of components of digital marketing programs: Audiences, Platforms (Meta, Google, Programmatic vendors), Creative and Measurement.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data visualization tools.
Skills:
- Experience with retail marketing and omnichannel strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM systems.
- Knowledge of attribution modeling and advanced analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to influence media strategy, planning, and measurement.
- Understanding of media best practices and the impact performance marketing has on enterprise objectives.
- Strong project management skills within paid media, including the ability to deliver under strict deadlines, handle multiple priorities simultaneously and lead cross-functional project teams.
- Cross departmental collaboration - collaborates with other departments and key stakeholders to create interactive, engaging and multimedia digital campaigns.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail.
- Expertise in the following: Excel, Google Ads, Meta, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Multi-Touch Attribution Tools, TTD, etc.
- Ability to lead a team of digital marketing specialists by providing strategic direction and leadership as well as prioritizing major marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute performance marketing strategies that align with Academy's omnichannel retail goals.
- Forecast and manage multi-million-dollar budgets across paid channels (Search, Social, Display, Programmatic, Affiliate, etc.).
Campaign Execution and Optimization
- Oversee end-to-end campaign execution, including setup, targeting, creative testing, and optimization.
- Ensure campaigns meet KPIs such as CPA, ROAS, and conversion rates.
- Partner with merchandising and e-commerce teams to support seasonal promotions and product launches.
- Manage and optimize product data feeds to ensure accurate, up-to-date, and enriched product information across paid channels (Google Shopping, Meta Advantage+, affiliate networks), driving improved ad relevance and conversion performance.
- Ensure media plans support enterprise goals.
- Partner with site merchants, CRM team, insights, merchants, and brand to ensure key sales drivers have the proper coverage.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Utilize tools like Adobe Analytics, Ads Manager, and attribution platforms for reporting and optimization.
Team Leadership and Development
- Manage and mentor a team of performance marketing managers and specialists.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, product, and analytics teams.
- Manage relationships with external media agencies, ensuring alignment on strategy, flawless campaign execution, and adherence to performance goals, timelines, and budget requirements.
Innovation & Growth
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging platforms.
- Test new channels and technologies to drive incremental growth.
- Identify trends and insights against performance and make recommendations and/or optimizes spend accordingly for the channels.
