Description
The Division of Endocrinology at Albany Medical College is currently recruiting for an Academic Endocrinologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The Endocrinology Division is very active in clinical care and education of students, residents, and fellows. We participate in bimonthly multidisciplinary thyroid, pituitary, and pathology conferences and there is a weekly multidisciplinary transgender clinic.
If the applicant has a special interest in certain aspects of endocrinology, such as thyroid, pituitary, diabetes, transgender medicine, etc., the applicant would be able to tailor their practice to that interest.
As a tertiary referral center, our practice provides exposure to a wide variety of endocrinopathies. In addition, we have a strong diabetes education team consisting of Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (CDCES). We also have an ultrasonography suite where thyroid ultrasounds and FNAs are performed.
Successful applicants will have an interest in working in a collegial environment emphasizing multidisciplinary approaches to patient care and research, and a commitment to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
