This is an opportunity for you to bring your wealth of experience to the team and help shape the future of sustainability with world-changing innovations and low carbon technologies. You have the power to shape things to make them better.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Mine Engineer to join our team and support our WA Mining Operations. Your focus will be on carrying out detailed analysis and ensuring alignment for development, production, and rehabilitation schedules.

Role Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, optimise, and manage a robust medium-term rehabilitation plan (typically 3 months to 1 year), ensuring alignment with the overall rehabilitation strategy and targets

  • Provide a detailed sequence of rehabilitation activities to minimise overall movement and maximise productivity

  • Identify any shortfalls in the rehabilitation schedule and implement plans to rectify any foreseen issues

  • Liaise with the production and development departments to identify any potential opportunities or shortfalls

  • Review rehabilitation designs to ensure rehabilitation completion criteria are being met, identify any potential areas for failure and minimise overall movement

  • Provide designs for haulage route access, ramps, dump and dig locations

  • Fostering effective communication with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and alignment across all levels of mine planning and scheduling

  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to mine rehabilitation

We are looking to develop the future leaders of our mine planning team so no matter what level of experience you are at right now, if leadership is in your sights, we are keen to hear from you.

What's on offer:

  • Career development opportunities to pursue your passion

  • Monthly Leisure Day

  • Benefits allowance

  • Performance related bonus (variable)

  • 16 weeks paid parental leave scheme

  • Paid annual volunteer hours

  • Social and diversity focused engagement opportunities

  • Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

  • Proven experience in mine operations, medium term planning and design

  • Strong understanding of mining operations, equipment, and processes

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic operations environment

  • Proficiency in mine CAD and planning software (Deswik CAD and SHED, Alastri experience desired but not essential)
