About the Role
Are you a strategic thinker ready to lead operational success and drive impactful change? Our Operating Programs team have an exciting opportunity for a results-driven Operations Performance Manager to lead the way in transforming how we manage and track our most critical business plans and initiatives.
Reporting to our Transformation Manager, you will utilise your knowledge of operational systems and expertise in program management whilst partnering with senior leadership across the region to support the business in the long term by achieving planned and forecast results for EHS, production, financial returns, and social licence to operate.
Your key purpose and contributions will be:
Creating and sustaining a structured and efficient project management office to prioritise, coordinate and monitor operational task forces, initiatives, and cross functional teams.
Providing guidance to the operations leadership team in tracking and thoroughly evaluating key performance metrics.
Developing materials and information to support communication across the organisation regarding priorities, desired outcomes, progress and celebrating successes.
Leading practice improvement of current value chain processes; facilitating identification and scoping of high value initiatives to engineer productivity and process improvement.

What you can bring to the role
Tertiary qualifications in engineering or related discipline with a broad background within the mining / manufacturing industry with proven experience in workshop facilitation and senior leader coaching.
Skills in applying technical and operational knowledge in the continuous improvement of the operation with a deep understanding of operational KPI management systems and processes.
Demonstrated scrum master experience with exposure to Power BI developments and Agile planning and execution will be highly regarded.
Strong capability to influence multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively with key peers and customers.
An analytical mind, with strong detail orientation, a creative approach to problem-solving with a developed level of understanding of finance and management accounting.

About the Location
Alcoa Australia is currently located in Booragoon, WA, but will be relocating to the western end of St Georges Terrace in Perth CBD in Q3 2025. The Booragoon office is situated on Whadjuk Noongar land, 16 kilometres away from Perth's CBD. The office is situated next to Garden City and hosts employees from across several business units, including Commercial, Finance, Sustainability, Communications, Human Resources and the Global Refinery of the Future team.
