About the Role:


Primary Purpose of the Function:

  • Identifying, prioritizing and scheduling all maintenance activities and projects, and monitoring all improvement activities to ensure proper implementation and communication of same.
  • Coordinating daily and outage activities with plant Group Leaders and Coordinators to optimize mechanical and electrical maintenance resource availability and prioritization.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the Reliability Excellence work planning and scheduling processes.
  • Lead and or participate in plant RCFA and SFMEA activities ensuring timely repair and that corrective measures are implemented and communicated to the plant.
  • Develop management systems and tools which support Reliability Excellence initiatives.  Ensure continued development/documentation of standardized work practices.
  • Provide expertise/leadership/assistance to ensure all required training of plant personnel regarding all environmental and safety standards.
  • Ability to plan and manage O&M budget on an annual/monthly/weekly basis.
  • Actively participates on Safety, Training, Recognition and other committees, as designated.
  • Develop Departmental succession plans for all positions including naming a primary to backfill in your absence.
  • Supports and drives continuous improvement projects including liaison with Capital Projects Team on Pre-Production Reliability Assessment of maintenance development strategy.
  • This position will be the primary Help Chain/SPA related to electrical and mechanical and PdM related activities that effect the operation and reliability of the plant, as well as, continuous improvement initiatives of all maintenance processes.
  • Provide expertise/leadership/assistance to ensure all required training of department personnel as related to Technical and Safety standards.
  • Training; technical expertise and knowledge of the facility will allow this assignment to have a tremendous impact on the organization and execution of the Reliability Excellence process at the Warrick Power Plant.
  • Driving Maintenance employee development.
  • Planning group responsibilities which includes adherence to schedule, back-log management, and PM/PdM activities.
  • Will have supervisory responsibilities for all Maintenance Group Leaders, Maintenance Planners, and Maintenance Engineers.

Major activities/Key Challenges

The Maintenance Coordinator is accountable for the $22M Non-fuels O&M budget and the equipment required for an annual net generation of 4,700,000 Mega-watts.  The position will insure the safe, environmentally responsible, continuous, and economically viable, operation of the four generating units at the Warrick Power Plant.

Essential Knowledge & Skills/Education

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to lead by example and be a resource for all departments
  • Ability to have a clear view of overall plant system operations
  • Ability to influence and as a change agent leading initiatives and projects
  • Ability to write/interpret reports, business correspondence, build and effectively present departmental business information
  • Proficient Computer skills

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 years' heavy industrial reliability maintenance experience, power plant related experience preferred
  • 3 years' experience in a progressive management capacity including people and processes,

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 10 years” experience with industrial maintenance
  • Maintenance experience in the Power Industry
