About the Role:

Based in our Mine Hub in Pinjarra, you will be responsible for preparing mine pit drainage control management plans and ground water designs to enable approvals for the 12-36 month mine plans. Your role will be crucial in balancing cadence of drainage control plans endorsed by regulators with the implementation of conditions and commitments around these approvals.
As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will lead a team of experienced professionals, overseeing the delivery of schedules, planning, and other mining-related activities for multiple mine sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop technical work for drainage control management plans.
Manage cadence of Drainage Control mine plans are developed and endorsed by regulators.
Develop Field studies roadmap for Drainage control enhancements.
Execute Field studies.
Develop comprehensive 12-36 month pit layers and early designs to enable regulatory approvals;
Optimise pit approvals sequencing in order to maintain appropriate approved inventory;
Collaborate with pit design and optimization teams to maximize recoverable reserves.
Coordinate pre-mining and post-mining activities, ensuring seamless integration within the mining schedule and conforming to
Interaction to technical mine team

What you can bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience,
Proven expertise in mine planning, mine geology, and surveying, culminating in a leadership role.
Knowledge in water management is desirable
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Deep understanding of mining operations, equipment selection, and productivity optimization.
Proficiency in resource modeling, block model data handling, and manipulation.
Knowledge of government regulations, approval processes, and landscape clearing requirements.
Familiarity with rehabilitation landform planning principles and scheduling.
Advanced proficiency in mine planning software and GIS tools for data presentation and analysis is desirable.
