THE ROLE:

The Chief of Staff reports directly to senior leadership and serves as a strategic partner responsible for driving operational excellence, post-acquisition integration, and execution of high-impact business priorities. This role will play a critical part in integrating MEXT into AMD, ensuring alignment across technology, operations, and organizational structures while minimizing disruption and accelerating value realization. This role will connect strategy to execution—leading cross-functional initiatives, enabling leadership effectiveness, and establishing disciplined operating rhythms to drive measurable business outcomes.

This individual is influential without authority, excels at driving alignment across complex matrixed organizations, and demonstrates exceptional communication and execution discipline. They are equally comfortable operating at the strategic level and diving into operational details, with a strong bias for action and accountability.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Lead and support post-acquisition integration efforts, aligning technology, operations, processes, and organizational structures to successfully integrate MEXT into AMD while accelerating strategic value realization
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to leadership, translating vision into clear priorities, execution plans, and measurable outcomes
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Go-To-Market teams to deliver critical business initiatives and strategic objectives
  • Own and manage the executive operating cadence, including leadership meetings, planning cycles, OKRs, business reviews, and board-level preparation
  • Lead high-impact, cross-organizational initiatives and special projects requiring executive visibility, sponsorship, and rapid execution
  • Develop and deliver executive communications and presentations for internal and external audiences, including Board of Directors, investors, customers, partners, and employees
  • Establish performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to monitor strategic progress, ensure accountability, and enable data-driven decision making
  • Identify organizational bottlenecks, drive resolution, and ensure timely execution of key decisions and commitments

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated success in a Chief of Staff, strategy, business operations, or program leadership role within a complex, matrixed organization
  • Experience supporting executive leadership and driving enterprise-level initiatives with high visibility and impact
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, particularly in post-acquisition integration or transformation environments
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect strategy, operations, and execution
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience developing executive-level presentations and messaging for diverse audiences
  • Ability to influence without authority and build strong partnerships across technical and business teams
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, execution discipline, and ability to manage competing priorities

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
