LOCATION:  Hong Kong

ONSITE: This role requires the student to work from the Hong Kong office throughout the duration of the Co-op/Intern term. First time Co-ops/Interns should work full-time and onsite.

PROGRAM TERM:

Fall term.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: 
As an intern in Research and Advanced Development, you will be part of AMD's next generation of technology innovations. You will work with diverse and talented teams. With AMD, you will benefit from a combination of hands-on training and real-world work experiences that will give you a competitive edge. 

PLEASE HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING TECHNICAL SKILLS:  

• Distributed systems, data center networking, high performance computing, and distributed machine learning training. 

• FPGA or ASIC-based RTL design and verification, FPGA deployment and programming, FPGA based acceleration of cloud applications, programmable data plane, machine learning training on GPUs and awareness of hardware/software co-design.  

• Hands-on experience with C/C++, Python programming. 

• Deep computer architecture understanding. 

• ML frameworks such as PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.  

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:  

• Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of data.  

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. 

• Strong passion for technology and research. 

• Exceptional MSc / PhD student in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering.
