THE ROLE:

We are looking for MTS Component Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor to design the AMD's AI server product, you will be part of a board design team working with cross function team to design or deliver the highest quality proposal/product to customers. You will be responsible for design quality and ensure teamwork success, you and team will continue to develop, and product improve, we also encourage technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.

THE PERSON:

As MTS Component Engineer, you will work with cross function teams (EE, Power, Layout) to deliver high quality component solution proposals or valuable multiple source candidates. You need to have more component design support experience and be familiar with server design applications for electronic board mounted components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with server hardware design teams to evaluate & select electronic components (ICs, semiconductors, and passive parts) based on technical specs and reliability to meet project design requirement.
• Be responsible for identifying potential second source or alternate for electronic board mounted components.

• Serve as the technical interface with suppliers to collect & drive their component product roadmap to meet next generation server design need.

• Mitigating component End-of-Life (EOL) or PCNs (Product Change Notifications).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ years relevant work experience in component design & application support field.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, a related Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Good organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• In depth understanding of basic Engineering principles.
• Operational command of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering background
