THE ROLE: 

The AMD Data Center Platform Engineering team needs a dynamic, energetic technical program manager to drive overall board validation, from product definition through production release for next generation AMD data center solutions.  As board validation program manager, you will be working closely with our engineering teams from pre-silicon to post-silicon to help ensure our Data Center products are on time to market with quality.

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the board validation of products, working with large, matrixed teams to plan and execute board level deliverables. This role requires blending your strategic and tactical experience to produce high-quality solutions, within time and budget.  It is a hands-on and dynamic role which encompasses all areas of graphics board validation.  The role requires proactive and frequent engagement with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering teams are enabled for successful planning, design, development and validation of board-level data center graphics solutions.  You are energized by working in a fast-paced technical organization across multiple sites, with multifaceted product requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Drive efficient validation planning & execution through active leadership, clear communication, and effective organization skills.
• Provide frequent & concise updates to Program and Executive teams on plans, status, and risk mitigation.
• Proactively drive plans to mitigate delays, and follow through with the internal platform teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define teams' dependencies & deliverables.

• Co-ordinate and track cross-team activities and schedules to ensure project requirements are met from production definition to production

• Proven capability of leading concurrent programs in a metric-driven environment and demonstrated ability to deliver
• Excellent problem structuring and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage a high degree of complexity and ambiguity

• Strong attention to detail with a high sense of urgency
• The successful candidate must also plan for risks in the development path, identify prevention methods, and address them to save on engineering costs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Experience with SoC and system level validation.
• Demonstrated project and program management leadership success

• Organization/planning skills and relevant experience driving validation schedules and risk management.
• Effective communication and strong teamworking skills are essential, with proven ability to lead cross-functional and global teams.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred)
• Masters in Business Administration or PMI PMP® Certification is a plus.
