THE ROLE: 

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced on-site Executive Assistant to support the Corporate Vice President of Product, Software & Solutions Marketing and the senior leadership team within the organization. This role is a key business partner responsible for helping a geographically distributed leadership team operate efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will manage executive operations across multiple leaders, including complex calendaring, travel coordination, staff meeting logistics, customer engagement support, communications, and administrative processes.  This role requires exceptional judgment, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.

You are a highly capable executive support professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about helping leaders and teams achieve their goals. You anticipate needs before they arise, manage multiple priorities with accuracy and urgency, and build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization. Known for your sound judgment, discretion, and ability to remain calm under pressure, you proactively solve problems, drive execution, and enable leaders to focus on strategic priorities. You are equally comfortable supporting senior executives, coordinating across complex organizations, engaging with customers, and partnering with other executive assistants to ensure seamless operations and exceptional business support.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Executive and Leadership Team Support 

  • Manage and optimize calendars for the Corporate Vice President and designated members of the leadership staff. 

  • Coordinate leadership team meetings, staff meetings, offsites, business reviews, executive engagements and support the AMD Events team as needed to deliver customer-facing events. 

  • Ensure meeting schedules align with business priorities and maximize leadership effectiveness. 

  • Manage executive communications and triage inbound requests appropriately. 

  • Coordinate follow-up actions and help drive closure on leadership team commitments.  

Travel and Event Management 

  • Coordinate domestic and international travel for the Corporate Vice President and senior staff members. 

  • Manage travel logistics, itineraries, expenses, and related administrative activities. 

  • Support customer engagements, field events, executive briefings, and internal leadership meetings. 

  • Partner with stakeholders to coordinate facilities, catering, technology, and event logistics.  

Organizational Operations 

  • Create and manage purchase orders for outside services contracts and critical procurement needs for the organization. 

  • Serve as a key point of contact for executives, customers, and business partners. 

  • Maintain confidential business records and documentation with the highest level of discretion. 

  • Support operational and financial processes including purchase orders, contracts, vendor coordination, and expense management. 

  • Coordinate departmental administrative activities and office operations as needed. 

  • Partner with executive assistants across AMD to ensure smooth coordination of cross-functional leadership activities.

  • Build trust through professionalism, responsiveness, confidentiality, and attention to detail. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Proven experience supporting senior executives and leadership teams in a complex corporate environment. 

  • Experience supporting leaders in a fast-paced company within a sales, marketing, product, engineering, or customer-facing organization. 

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and prioritization skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority activities simultaneously. 

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative. 

  • Strong customer service mindset and executive presence. 

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, SAP, and Concur. 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.  

LOCATION 

  • San Jose, California - In office 5X per week
