JOB LOCATION: Austin, TX
ONSITE: This is an onsite position – the Intern/Co-op is required to relocate if necessary and work full-time (40 hours) from the AMD office.
PROGRAM TERM: Fall 2024
ABOUT THE TEAM
WHO WE ARE: The Product Development engineering team is responsible for post silicon validation for new products (Post silicon validation involves data analysis for yield, characterization, product definition and system level test).
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- AMD is searching for talented and highly motivated engineering interns to join our server product development team in building data analysis chains, automation pipelines and data analysis tools.
- This position is for a software/electrical engineer specializing in data science applications.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion
- Ability to manage your time effectively
WHAT WOULD SET YOU APART: (At least 1 or more of these)
- Master's courses in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- Experience with python based standard learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Previous experience with big data analytics.
- Experience with data visualization techniques (tableau, Power-Bi, python)
- Relevant industry experience focused on Data science applications.
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
