LOCATION: Austin, Texas

 

HYBRID: This hybrid role (remote & in-office) requires the student to work from the Austin office approximately 3 days a week. 

 

PROGRAM TERM:
Fall: August 19th or September 9th through December 13th, 2024 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Work with other Program Managers to help improve processes, work to help define key deliverables/schedules and drive multi-functional activities. Ability to structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings. 

  • Work with the latest GPU technologies, as well as program management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jama, Confluence and JIRA
  • Visibility into sound Program Management methodologies, software engineering practices and processes, organizational and teamwork/behavior, effective collaboration, and communication
  • Understand the Software product life cycle from concept to production
  • Work with AMDers around the globe
  • Gain experience in cross-functional core team settings, supporting core team program managers, and working with Software Teams to deliver first class AMD products! 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate in this role will be a self-starter, upbeat, quick learner who is passionate about new technology in addition to being results-oriented and able to get things done. They will be able to resolve ambiguity and adapt to changes in a dynamic environment. Drawing on their schooling, the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who can engage with key activities and cross functional teams. 

 

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Strong technical background in software development with an interest in program/project management
  • Good presentation and leadership skills with the ability to lead technical discussions
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Leadership experience or leading a project team
  • Experience working with source code management tools
  • Skilled in MS Office & MS Project tool suites, JIRA, Confluence, MS SharePoint, Python, PowerBI
  • Undergraduate student enrolled in one of the following programs: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Organizational Leadership

You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
