THE ROLE:

This unique rotational role within Global Accounting and Financial Services (GAFS) offers exposure to various accounting and financial functions including Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). The Global Business Service Support team member will rotate across modules to support global business operations, drive process improvements, and gain a holistic understanding of AMD's financial ecosystem.

 

THE PERSON:

You are a proactive and adaptable finance professional who thrives in dynamic environments. You bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous learning. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and are eager to contribute across diverse teams and functions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in rotational assignments across GAFS functions to support global financial operations.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across different modules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare and present financial insights and updates to leadership.
  • Contribute to global projects and initiatives, including automation and standardization efforts.
  • Document learnings and best practices from each rotation to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.
  • 2 - 5 years of related working experience.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP S4 preferred), advanced Excel skills, Power Automate & Power BI will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in process improvement or project-based work is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • MBA or CPA is an advantage.
