The Mainstream FPGA Product Marketing Manager has responsibility for a portfolio of products including mainstream silicon and evaluation kits (mainly 16nm, 20nm and 28nm nodes). The main goal is to grow and manage the product lines working with internal stakeholders, customers and partners. Ideal for a self-starter with strong business acumen, and excellent communications skills, this position requires technical command, experience and insights to develop and nurture AMD AECG products.
Responsibilities include driving business strategy for the portfolio, messaging, support for the field and customers including execution of marketing campaigns and collateral, obsolescence management, and understanding key markets including test & measurement, aerospace & defense, data center, communications, IVH (industrial, video and healthcare), audio video broadcast, and automotive.
This individual possesses unwavering customer focus, critical thinking capabilities, and excellent communication skills, both written and oral. And it is of critical importance that the candidate is able to connect with customers to understand and champion the user experience.
Sound business judgment and the ability to work as part of a high-performance team in a fast paced environment with multiple cross-functional teams are critical for success. This position will include some travel for customer/field interaction.
Other Responsibilities:
- Understanding of the wide spectrum of customer requirements, market trends and financial objectives and synthesize them into a cohesive product line strategy.
- Possesses an understanding of Adaptive SoCs, FPGAs, embedded processing applications and system requirements.
- Knowledge of technologies common across AMD AECG end markets and be versed in promoting and messaging the benefits in a way that is readily comprehended by customers and the salesforce. This will include knowledge of common technologies such as ARM processors, PCIe, Ethernet, small form factor (SFP) interconnect technologies to name a few.
- Collaborate with sales, FAEs, vertical market business teams, and system architects to drive awareness of SoC and software capabilities and demonstrate the value of these solutions.
- Create messaging and present / train sales, FAEs and specialists.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Ideally, 4+ years semiconductor experience and 4+ years of sales or marketing experience in the semiconductor industry, with a proven track record
- A passion for winning and achieving challenging revenue, design win and market share targets
- Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as customer interface skills
- Well organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
- Proven experience in successfully bringing new technologies and/or business models to market and driving market adoption.
- Knowledge of FPGAs, Adaptive SoCs, CPUs and/or GPUs
- Development experience with FPGAs, ACAPs, CPUs and/or GPU
- AMD AECG develops highly flexible and adaptive processing platforms that enable rapid innovation across a variety of technologies - from the endpoint to the edge to the cloud.
Preferred Qualification :
- Master's degree in technical discipline or MBA is a plus, but not required
