THE ROLE:

The Project Management Office (PMO) within AMD's Data Center GPU (DCGPU) group has an immediate opening for an Engineering (NPI) Materials Program Manager. In this role, you will be working closely with PMO, cross-functional Engineering teams, Supply chain and Finance to create program financial for strategic decision making and material ordering approvals.

  

THE PERSON: 

The right candidate will be self-driven and thrive in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment. They will have solid background in program management, financial budgeting, database creations and management, scenario planning/strategy, creative problem solving, excellent large group communication skills and a track record of change management with process creation/improvement.

                                                      

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead cross functional teams across PMO, Engineering, Supply Chain, Biz Dev and Finance driving NPI materials interlock and executive order approvals
  • Prepare, plan and execute regular program financial scenarios to support NPI requirements, capacity, and customer engagements impacting decision milestones for sustaining/new development products
  • Own and present monthly NPI unit and dollar forecast presentation to executive team
  • Track changes, conduct data analysis and prepare reports
  • Collaborate with core and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations and identify corrective/mitigation strategies 
  • Provide clear and timely communications to multiple stakeholders to enable decision making, ensure cross-functional alignment and articulate risks and opportunities
  • Work in multiple time zones including night calls as required

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or related multi-disciplinary programs.  Master's or higher equivalents preferred
  • Ability to deal with rapid development cycles, complex problems and ambiguity
  • Self-starter requiring minimum supervision and direction
  • Working knowledge of program management methodologies
  • Proficient in productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Teams and OneNote
  • Working knowledge of data management, planning and visualization tools to support new processes 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze data and create compelling dashboards and reports
