THE ROLE:
Join us as an Operations Program Manager – Graphics Engineering, where you will lead our Graphics Hardware IP organization in achieving operational excellence and help drive the continued growth of our graphics technology leadership in the industry. Our team manages operations for AMD's graphics engineering team. We are looking for an experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. This role requires the ability to work efficiently and foster strong, effective relationships within a cross-functional organization to ensure the successful project execution. The ideal candidate must be self-driven, capable of navigating complex and dynamic ecosystems, and committed to delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
THE PERSON:
- Ability to interface/collaborate with other teams regarding key programs and how they represent their effort
- Possesses the ability to use spreadsheets, graphing, tables, calculations, and automation efficiently to process large quantities of data relevant to business tasks
- Demonstrated ability in data mining and database architecture
- Mathematical and statistical skills are also valuable to help gather, measure, organize, and analyze, format and present data
- Fundamental understanding in data warehouse concepts, ETL, or back-end development and testing
- Comfortable developing basic web UI elements
- Passion for attention to detail & organizing information
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, adept at adapting to frequent changes and accommodating last-minute requests
- Independent, resourceful, and proactive
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Based Accounting (PBA) & Time Control (TC):
- On a quarterly basis estimate project cost and report to finance cost per project by country
- Perform Timely PBA forward looking projection and analysis
- After each quarter end, perform PBA actuals analysis based on TC submissions throughout the quarter
- Scenario modeling/Mountain Chart development and project scoping
- Lead streamlined data reporting & process improvement initiatives to increase automation & enable better scenario modeling
- Create executive data extracts for communications across broad audience
- Compile cross program/Organization details for executive presentations
- Maintain and further develop contractor tracker to help with budget planning
- General operations support to the overall operations Manager and VPs
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Expert level skills with Excel including creating macros, pivot tables, power query, and interfacing to databases
- Experience working with large amount of data, creating pivot tables, and analyzing results and trends
- Experience with project based accounting and corporate annual budget planning cycles highly desired
- Strong experience in Data Visualization concepts – Power BI visualization tool
- Understanding of graphics, SOC, Silicon & software development is desired
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Undergrad degree required. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Formal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master preferred.
