THE ROLE:
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic debug lead / Principal Systems Design Engineer to join our growing team that will thrive in a fast-paced work environment, using effective communication, problem-solving and prioritization skills. Individuals that are well organized, show great attention to detail, and employ critical thinking are well-suited for our team.
THE PERSON:
As a Leader in server customer platform integration engineering, you will lead, hands-on, and provide guidance to the team, mentor upcoming platform debug engineers, provide long range strategy, and is willing to jump in to help resolve issues quickly. You will be involved in platform debug especially DDR Memory function, EV/SI, and other associated function area that impact the team including overall debug efficiency, customer debug improvement communication, and training. The right candidate will be informed on the latest trends and become prepared to give consultative directions to senior management. You will drive balanced, scalable, and automated solutions. In this high visibility position, your systems platform debug expertise will be necessary towards product development, definition, and root cause resolution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A powerful desire to learn new skills and understand new features as they are added
- Lead and hands-on customer server platform debug with cross function teams to resolve customer platform function or EV/SI issues especially DDR memory
- Work across multiple teams – product management, customer platform HW and FW architecture, development, application, validation, and debug teams to drive efficiency and quality in customer platform issues resolution and future improvement plans for the BU.
- Proven record of accomplishment of working within and across groups.
- Identify optimization opportunities and drive new processes or tool needs within Engineering activities
- Effective communication skills
- Responsible for exploring opportunities to improve and enhance product
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Exposure to server system platform architecture
- Experience with server platform memory debugging, analyzing, and issue resolution. HSIO, RAS, or the other domain area are plus
- Experience with server platform development lifecycle, both pre-silicon and post-silicon
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
- 10+ years of work experience preferred.
