THE ROLE:
This is a Manufacturing/Quality Engineering role with the team responsible for owning and running the Material Review Board (MRB) and change management processes across AMD products and supply chain. The core purpose is to ensure safe, compliant, and timely disposition of materials and changes so product quality and customer risk are managed effectively.
THE PERSON:
We are looking for someone who owns and improves end‑to‑end processes, procedures, and systems used for material/change management. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues clearly to both technical and senior leadership audiences. You will naturally be analytic with strong data‑driven decision-making skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of our Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be a critical part of QMS team realizing AMD manufacturing quality with responsibilities that include:
- Manage review boards for material disposition and change management across all AMD products including all processing steps and direct materials.
- Own the processes, specifications, and systems used in change and material management.
- Assure ISO9001 compliance for these processes.
- Assure complete closure of all material review board events including the assignment of corrective and preventive action ownership.
- Measure performance of the boards in managing risk to our end customer.
- Assure processes/execution for effective quarantine of assessed material and changes.
- Manage issue escalation relevant to the work of these boards.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong semiconductor manufacturing, with experience in Wafer Fabrication, IC Packaging, Test, and/or Supplier Quality Engineering is desired
- Good communication, presentation, and strong leadership skills; with ability to lead technical discussions in English
- Working understanding of IC failure analysis, reliability testing, and product qualification
- Strength in the application of quality processes including 8D, FMEA, and 5Why
- Ability to manage complex processes and projects, work under tight time constraints and effectively work in a cross-matrixed environment
- Bias for action, both tactical and strategic
- Software and database skills are a plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Required Degree: BS or above
- Preferred Major: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
