Grounded in a culture of innovation and collaboration, we believe real progress comes from bold ideas, human ingenuity and a shared passion to create something extraordinary. When you join AMD, you'll discover the real differentiator is our culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world's most important challenges—striving for execution excellence, while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives. Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond. Together, we advance your career.
THE ROLE:
Join a high-impact team shaping the future of graphics and rendering innovation across AMD's next-generation APUs. In this role, you'll drive the definition and direction of advanced rendering features that influence the entire developer ecosystem—from game studios to next-gen content creators. You'll work at the intersection of hardware and software, collaborating daily with world-class GPU architects, rendering engineers, product strategists, and ecosystem partners.
This is a highly visible role where your technical insight and customer empathy directly shape AMD's product roadmap. You will translate real-world developer needs into differentiated rendering capabilities, guide end-to-end execution, and influence the technologies that power millions of devices worldwide. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working across diverse teams, and driving features from concept to launch, this role gives you the opportunity to make a tangible impact on AMD's platform leadership.
THE PERSON:
You thrive in environments where technology, creativity, and strategy intersect. You're naturally curious, deeply technical, and able to see the “big picture” while still understanding the details that matter. You communicate clearly across disciplines, build trust with engineering teams, and maintain a steady, customer-focused perspective even when juggling competing priorities.
You're collaborative, organized, decisive, and comfortable influencing without authority. You enjoy connecting developer needs to impactful product decisions, navigating ambiguity, translating complexity into clarity, and driving alignment across hardware, software, and business teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the requirements definition for advanced rendering features across AMD APUs, transforming customer and market insights into clear, prioritized product specifications.
- Act as the voice of the customer—balancing developer workflows, business objectives, ecosystem constraints, and platform differentiation.
- Partners with GPU architects, software engineering, and hardware teams to scope features, evaluate feasibility, and refine implementation plans.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders (architecture, engineering, marketing, finance, partners) around priorities, resources, risks, and timelines.
- Define and advocate for a multi-year rendering roadmap supported by data, competitive insights, customer feedback, and industry trends.
- Shape accelerator hardware features in collaboration with the GPU and architecture teams to support cutting-edge rendering capabilities and developer-friendly APIs.
- Establish success metrics for feature adoption, performance, and developer satisfaction; run experiments and feedback loops to iterate and improve.
- Drive cross-functional readiness (documentation, SDKs, samples, tooling) to ensure seamless developer adoption.
- Provide transparent communication to leaderships summarizing risks, trade-offs, progress, and decisions.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Background in rendering pipelines, GPU/accelerator architectures, or advanced graphics technologies.
- Experience translating customer or developer needs into product features or specs.
- Familiarity with industry graphics standards, developer workflows, and ecosystem considerations.
- Comfort working across hardware and software teams to evaluate feasibility and define implementation paths.
- Experience working with stakeholders across architecture, engineering, marketing, and partner ecosystems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an ability to weigh trade-offs and assess feature value.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Advanced degrees or relevant certifications in graphics, GPU architecture, or similar domains are a plus.
