The Role

AMD's server software and solutions engineering team is seeking a senior engineer to lead the enablement and optimization of HPC and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions on AMD EPYC processors. This role requires deep expertise in x86 architecture and hand on experience with HPC applications,  AI frameworks, and models and their training at production level clusters. You will collaborate with product, marketing, and silicon development teams to shape strategies for performance optimization, competitive analysis, and end-customer application optimization. This position is based in Santa Clara or Austin.

The ideal candidate thrives in collaboration and innovation, playing a crucial role in optimizing and showcasing the full capabilities of AMD products through advanced software and solutions, while actively influencing the next generation of product development.

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of x86 computing architecture
  • Proven expertise in software-level code optimization for accelerated committing
  • Familiarity with the low level HIP/CUDA language and supporting libraries.
  • Proficient in C++ and Python. Experience profiling and debugging CPU+GPU software stack preferably in LLMs.
  • Good understanding of the cluster setup, schedulers, network stack.  

 

Academic Credentials

MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related equivalent
