THE ROLE:
Quality Engagement Program Manager is an active customer-focused and solution-oriented role in a global team that is designed to improve the quality, performance, yield and cost of AMDs products. This role will support teams across the globe (N. America and Asia). They will need to drive root cause problem solving discussions, establish systemic and sustainable solutions, and manage initiatives and programs that improve the way Product Engineering Operations (PEO) organization improves product quality. They will partner with stakeholders within and outside of the Product Engineering Operations (PEO) organization in this role and will present periodic updates to leaders in PEO.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will need to have experience in semiconductor product or test engineering, semiconductor fab experience, or semiconductor quality engineering. They must demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires communication across teams and time zones, and this will require someone comfortable communicating with people across the globe, and be flexible with evening and early morning meetings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a portfolio of critical product and technology development initiatives.
- Guide executive leaders, project sponsors and stakeholders to develop projects that align with our strategic objectives.
- Drive initiatives in diverse, cross-functional, and globally distributed teams.
- Guide teams as the program evolves from planning, through measurement, reporting, and closure (end to end ownership).
- Oversee multiple project teams and ensure that the program goals are achieved.
- Define and execute to stakeholder and change management plans.
- Individual hands-on management of projects.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of experience in semiconductor or technology industry required.
- 5 years of experience managing projects.
- Prior experience in semiconductor product or test engineering preferred.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS in Engineering required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- MBA preferred
- Six sigma black belt or master black belt certification preferred
