THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking a Senior SoC Security Architect for the development of next generation Adaptive SoCs. In this role, you will be responsible for the security architecture of next-gen devices, evaluating security requirements and industry standards, and driving the architecture of security IP to meet those requirements. You will develop novel technology and architecture solutions, write specifications, analyze PPA (performance, power and area) tradeoffs, perform security reviews and audits, and work with marketing & development teams to architect the best-in-class security solutions.

You have excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrated through technical publications, presentations, trainings, etc. You are highly adept at collaboration among top-thinkers and engineers alike, ready to learn and drive best-in-class security solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define silicon security features and capabilities, close architecture and micro-architecture requirements, drive technical specifications for SoC and Security blocks to meet those requirements, and provide technical direction to execution teams.
- Comprehend the SOC as a complete system which includes HW (Silicon), FW, BIOS & SW and ensure that FW, BIOS & SW are aligned to security best practices.
- Work cross functionally with IP/Domain architects to identify and assess complex technical issues/risks and develop architectural solutions to achieve product requirements.
- Knowledge sharing and other contributions to Platform & System Architecture
- As an overall product owner, responsible for architecture analysis and technical solutions for marketing/feature change requests.
- Support post-silicon validations teams and customers.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Foundation in cryptographic hardware solutions for encryption and authentication.
- Foundation in silicon root-of-trust, interfaces, and systems.
- Knowledge of in-line (e.g. memory, networking, storage interfaces) and offline encryption solutions.
- Domain expertise in aerospace & defense, data-center, networking, or automotive industries.
- Knowledge of Confidential Compute and associated industry standards preferred.
- Strong analytical problem solving, and attention to detail.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline preferred.
