Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond. Together, we advance your career.
As a Senior Software Verification Manager for Ryzen AI, you will lead a team of talented verification engineers and software quality professionals to ensure the reliability, performance, and correctness of AI software stacks, SDKs, drivers, and tooling that enable AI acceleration on Ryzen platforms.
Responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end verification strategy for Ryzen AI software components (SDKs, runtime, drivers, firmware interfaces, compilers/toolchains, sample apps) across Windows and Linux.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the verification team within an Agile/Scrum environment, driving test planning, execution, triage, and reporting.
• Define and implement scalable test methodologies encompassing functional, integration, system, performance, power, stability, security, and compliance testing for AI workloads.
• Build and evolve automated test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, including regression suites, hardware-in-the-loop testing, emulation/FPGA prototyping where applicable, and cloud-based test infrastructure.
• Establish verification processes that span the full software development life cycle: requirements capture and traceability, test design, test data generation, coverage analysis, defect management, and release readiness criteria.
• Collaborate closely with architecture, development, QA, DevOps, and program management to align verification plans with product roadmaps, risk assessments, and quality goals.
• Partner with senior developers and architects to review designs, define acceptance criteria, and ensure verifiability of features and interfaces.
• Manage, execute, and report progress against verification plans and delivery commitments; build dashboards and metrics to proactively drive process and quality improvements.
• Lead root-cause analysis for complex issues across software, firmware, and hardware boundaries; drive corrective actions and prevention strategies.
• Hire, mentor, and develop verification engineers; foster a culture of technical excellence, automation-first, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
• Proven leadership experience managing software verification/QA teams and delivering high-quality software releases.
• Deep knowledge of professional software engineering and verification practices across the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, test planning, automation, code reviews, version control, build processes, continuous integration, and release management.
• Hands-on experience designing and scaling automated test frameworks and pipelines (e.g., Python/C++, pytest, unit/integration/system testing, CI/CD with Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present quality status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and executives.
• Experience with open-source development processes and contributing to or validating open-source components.
• Familiarity with AI/ML software stacks and workloads (e.g., computer vision, image/video processing, model inference, operator libraries), including correctness, performance, and numerical validation.
• Experience verifying software interacting with accelerators or heterogeneous compute (GPU/NPU/FPGA) and parallel runtimes (HIP, CUDA, OpenCL, or similar), or low-level drivers/firmware interfaces.
• Proficiency with defect tracking, test management, and observability tools; strong analytical skills for performance, reliability, and power characterization.
Nice-to-haves
• Advanced degrees (M.Sc., M.Eng., Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with model formats and runtimes (e.g., ONNX, common inference runtimes), compiler/graph optimization validation, and numerical accuracy testing.
• Background in system-level or SoC verification, emulation, or hardware bring-up; familiarity with Windows driver validation (HLK) and Linux kernel/user-space testing.
• Security and compliance testing experience (fuzzing, hardening, privacy, safety standards).
• Experience scaling distributed test infrastructure and large regression farms.
