MTS Windows Driver Development Engineer
THE ROLE:
The right engineer will drive the success of power IP (Intellectual Property) and features in AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) products through leadership & coordination, resolution of technical dependencies, and achievement of schedule commits. This is a high-visibility and widely multi-functional role, spanning pre-silicon architecture to post-silicon implementation & product delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain Windows XGBE drivers for AMD EPYC and embedded platforms.
- Enable support for multiple PCI device IDs and ensure parity with Linux driver capabilities.
- Coordinate with WHQL and installer teams to release signed drivers and resolve certification issues.
- Debug and fix issues across WHQL and non-WHQL driver builds, including port flapping and enumeration defects.
- Sustain the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of AMD solutions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 9+ years in Windows driver development, preferably with AMD or similar x86 platforms.
- Strong experience in Windows networking driver development.
- Experience in Windows kernel-mode driver development (WDM, KMDF, UMDF).
- Proficiency in C/C++ and debugging tools (WinDbg, TraceView).
- Experience in analyzing and debugging kernel crash dumps (WinDBG).
- Familiarity with PCIe enumeration, device ID handling, and WHQL certification processes.
- Experience with Ethernet MAC/PHY integration and redriver configuration.
- Knowledge in IO modules like i2c, smbus, uart is added advantage.
GOOD TO HAVE:
- Exposure to embedded platforms and industrial usecase
- Knowledge of BIOS-level configurations and AGESA interactions.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
