Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Silicon Design Engineers to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory and mechanical engineering. Perform definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development. Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation for subsystem data path verification. Scope includes developing scalable test-bench architecture, test-planning, test definition, verification components such as drivers and checkers for system data integrity. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Collaborate with Architecture, RTL, SW, and other verification teams to as part of verification infrastructure development and provide support for maintaining regression quality for various ASIC/FPGA products. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires experience in the following:

  • Performing pre-silicon verification;
  • Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL;
  • Python, C, or C++;
  • CPU, SoC, or GPU architecture;
  • ASIC design and verification;
  • Creating UVM testbenches;
  • Implementing RTL modules and RTL design and coding;
  • Logic and Circuit Design; and
  • ASIC design tools (synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis).

 

Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, of internship experience.
