THE ROLE:

Work on internal System Level Test (SLT) and reference design platforms to identify root cause and corrective actions of customer returns and observations.

Debug hardware and software issues including test HW, test SW, diagnostics, and device-specific IP.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engineer must ensure overall compatibility, compliance, and test coverage of microprocessors from product definition through product qualification and into high volume manufacturing by developing product specific test hardware, software and diagnostics.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with geographically distributed product engineering teams
  • Experience in silicon debug using customized diagnostics and OS's on a bench or in System Level Test platform
  • Experience w/ PC hardware debug including networking, storage, and thermal control
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages: C++, Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, shell script, or similar.
  • Familiar with general Computer Architecture concepts such as pipelining and caching, x86 architecture, and PC computer organization
  • Experience with logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools
  • Experience with revision control (GIT, SVN, CVS, or similar)
  • Familiar with Linux or Unix Operating Systems.
  • Experience in Six Sigma problem solving principles is a plus
  • Familiar with Advance Test Equipment (ATE) test concepts is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
