THE ROLE:
We are seeking a results-driven PCBA Manufacturing Program Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across engineering, supply chain, production, and quality to ensure seamless program execution from NPI (New Product Introduction) to full-scale production. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of PCBA manufacturing operations, SMT processes, drive continuous improvement, communicate project status, risks, and roadblocks to stakeholders.
THE PERSON:
The candidate is required of strong understanding of PCBA processes, knowledge of quality standards, DFx experience, end-to-end ownership of NPI to mass production, cross-functional coordination and Strong communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain project schedules with clear milestones.
- Track program progress, mitigate risks, and drive problem resolution.
NPI & Product Lifecycle Management
- Lead NPI builds and facilitate design-transfer to manufacturing.
- Coordinate with design, PE, QA, and supply chain to ensure production readiness.
- Manage product change control (ECOs), configuration management, and ramp plans.
Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Drive failure analysis (FA), RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor process KPIs: cycle time, FPY, yield, defect rates.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with quality, production, and R&D teams to resolve technical issues
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
10 years+ of hands-on experience in PCBA manufacturing process with
- SMT processes (reflow, pick-and-place, solder paste printing etc.).
- Through-hole and hand-soldering techniques.
- Inspection and testing (AOI, SPI, X-ray, ICT, FBT).
- Process validation, NUDD, PFMEA, and control plans.
- SG, GRR, CPK, DnP, and X-section reviewed
- Understanding BOM structure.
- Root cause analysis and use of 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys.
- Manufacturing KPIs: yield, cycle time, OTD (on-time delivery), quality metrics.
- NRE review.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with technical background (e.g., EE/ME) preferred.
- Master's degree is a plus (especially for R&D-focused or senior roles
- IPC-A-610 Certification
- IPC J-STD-001 (for understanding soldering quality standards)
