THE ROLE:

This Sr. Financial Analyst role is a high-visibility position within AMD's Finance organization in Austin, TX, supporting AMD's fastest-growing and most dynamic business unit. Reporting directly to the Sr. Finance Manager, Compute & Enterprise AI Business Unit, this role is critical to the success of a rapidly scaling organization at the center of AMD's growth strategy. The analyst will partner closely with the business to ensure marketing strategies are operationally supported, financially optimized, and aligned to drive maximum return on investment. This role delivers strategic financial analysis, insights, and reporting that influence key business decisions and drive cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should have a bias for action, high sense of teamwork, and ability to speak up and make recommendations in a fast-moving environment. Additionally, we are looking for a teammate with leadership capability that will drive cross-organizational initiatives to optimize Marketing investments and serve as a strong finance partner to BU leadership. Role requires someone with the capability to grow within the position and in the future rotate to Finance positions within the Company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Finance business partner to Compute & Enterprise AI business unit leadership
• Engage/Lead core finance processes including Long-range planning, Annual Operating Plans, and intra-quarter Outlooks for Marketing Opex
• Perform month end close activities, including variance reporting and expense reviews
• Perform financial analysis and provide decision support for Marketing investments and special projects
• Coordinate with and provide operational finance guidance to various organizations and individuals across cross-functional teams such as Corporate Financial Planning, Accounting, HR, and Business Unit Operations

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience effectively supporting Business leaders in a high-growth environment
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems experience (i.e., SAP, Oracle)

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent
• Experience preferably in a global fast-paced competitive multi-site high-tech environment
