THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking an experienced Senior IT Asset Analyst to join the organization.  In this full-time position, you will be responsible for leading the IT Asset Management (ITAM) program within the company. Your responsibilities will include assisting with defining an ITAM strategy, developing and executing a roll-out plan, and achieving operational status.  Other responsibilities may include managing a team of business systems analysts, working with AMD key stakeholders, and collaborating with the extended IT community. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Assist to define an enterprise-level IT Asset Management strategy to manage assets end-to-end.
  • Work with IT and business stakeholders to gain approval of the ITAM strategy.
  • Develop and execute a phased plan to roll out ITAM processes, starting with inventory, data normalization, policies, standards, and KPI definitions.
  • Analyze, develop, deploy, and maintain processes, policies, standards, and measurements as part of the daily operational asset management activities and long-term IT asset portfolio.
  • Implement quality control measures to manage and audit the lifecycle of all IT assets by developing operating procedures to track these assets.
  • Utilize and model data from various information sources, such as CMDB, SCCM, and LDAP.
  • Derive a continuous improvement strategy to streamline IT asset spending.
  • Suggest a governance model for the IT asset management function.
  • Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and CIs and their status; also perform trend analyses.
  • Define and manage Configuration Items (CIs) and implement workflows to track them within the CMDB.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with IT vendors and suppliers to effectively manage the end-to-end life cycle of hardware and software assets.
  • Manage a team of analysts to achieve objectives.  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

 

  • 8-10 years of working in Information Technology, preferably in Infrastructure management.
  • 3 years of IT Asset Management (ITAM) experience.
  • Experience working in a global company.
  • Excellent communication skills, interacting with AMD employees and contractors at any level.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of CMDB repositories and reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI).
  • Concentrated focus on defect reduction and quality of services.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with employees at any level within the organization.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, global, collaborative environment.
  • IAITAM (or equivalent ITAM) certification

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
