Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Sr. Product Development Engineers to Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products (GPUs, CPUs, and/or APUs). Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Act as a focal point in interacting with foundry technical teams, both internally and externally, to identify, root cause, and implement corrective action opportunities. Defining and driving our foundry partners' technology to support AMD product roadmap through DTCO, analyzing data from foundry partners; monitoring and reporting manufacturing readiness of a technology, working with internal customers (including design, reliability, packaging and product engineering) to ensure that the technology is meeting product PPAYQ (Perf. /Power/Area/Yield/Quality) requirements. Optimize process/targeting and monitor process targeting for yield/performance. Lead end-to-end development for Semi-Custom product from pre-silicon to high-volume sustaining. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the products move to production and distribution. Define sample wafer plans to support sample planning and track wafers for on time to support product milestones. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Under limited supervision, exercise judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

1.Design closure (DRC/LVS);
2.Electrical, Thermal, and Mechanical Characterization and Measurement Techniques;
3.Data Analysis & Statistical Data Analysis Tools;
