THE ROLE: 

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for AI Opensource Developer Enablement, you will support end-to-end planning and execution of worldwide developer programs for AMD's datacenter GPU products and the ROCm software ecosystem. You will lead the creation and delivery of content, community engagement initiatives, and developer events—all designed to drive adoption, showcase performance advantages, and foster a vibrant open-source AI/ML community around AMD technologies.  

 

 

THE PERSON: 

In this position, you will be engaging with open-source developers, contributors, and maintainers of key AI and ML projects, partner closely with engineering and product teams to infuse ROCm optimizations into leading open-source projects. You'll be directly involved in making sure developers have everything they need to leverage the power of AMD for their AI workloads. You will support creating a rich portfolio of developer educational content and orchestrate global developer engagement initiatives—from webinars and workshops to hackathons.  

 

With a deep understanding of ROCm's open software ecosystem, you'll measure impact through data-driven insights and amplify AMD's presence by cultivating key external relationships and representing the brand across industry events.  

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Define and execute the global strategy for AI developer enablement programs, aligning with AMD's datacenter GPU roadmap and ROCm platform priorities. 

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate ROCm optimizations into flagship open-source AI/ML frameworks & projects and provide developer guidance. 

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver developer engagement events worldwide, including webinars, workshops, hackathons, contests, and community sprints. 

  • Collaborate on development of multi-format educational content: technical articles, tutorials, hands-on labs, videos, and certification tracks. 

  • Build and manage relationships with open-source project maintainers, academic partners, and industry consortia to drive joint initiatives and contributions. 

  • Establish metrics to measure program impact—attendance, community growth, code contributions, performance benchmarks—and report insights to senior leadership. 

  • Possibly, lead a small team of developer advocates and program coordinators, mentoring them in community outreach, content creation, and event execution. 

  • Stay ahead of AI/ML trends and competitor offerings to continuously refine enablement strategies and identify new partnership opportunities. 

  • Represent AMD at conferences, meetups, and online events to build relationships and grow the community.  

  • Travel required 30-40%. 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Demonstrated experience in developer programs, technical marketing, or evangelism—ideally within AI/ML and open-source ecosystems. 

  • Proven track record managing global developer events (webinars, workshops, hackathons) and content programs that drove measurable engagement. 

  • Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and hands-on experience optimizing workloads for GPU acceleration, preferably with ROCm. 

  • Strong leadership skills: ability to inspire cross-functional teams, manage resources, and deliver on aggressive timelines. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication—comfortable presenting to technical audiences, leading panels, and producing high-impact documentation. 

  • Analytical mindset with experience defining KPIs, tracking program metrics, and translating data into actionable recommendations. 

  • Enthusiasm for community-building, creating content, and helping others grow. 

  • Great communication skills – you know how to break down tough tech into easy-to-understand concepts. 

  • Experience with AMD GPUs and software tools for AI/ML development is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and containers in AI/ML workflows is a plus. 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
