Sr. Software System Design Engineer
THE ROLE:
This role is important to achieve agile deployment of the AMD Radeon Open Compute (ROCm) platform solution by supporting the continuous integration of system level SW components. Work with global teams in Shanghai, Toronto and Nis/Belgrade to conduct SW/FW integration and validation to support next generation of AMD machine learning GPU products. Coordinate closely with peers and colleagues to ensure timely and effective communication of all assigned work activities.

12 month contract, with possibility to extend.

THE PERSON:
We are looking for a passionate, creative, team-oriented, and results-driven engineer who is ready to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge technology environment. You will have a degree in computer engineering, software engineering, or electrical engineering and be a team player interested in improving the quality of SW and increasing work efficiency.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND APTITUDES
- Proficient in scripting languages, including Python and Shell Scripting.
- Hands on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow or another popular ML software frameworks
- Experience defining tests plans/strategy and test automation solutions
- Experience working with large Source Code base, Configuration management, Source control tools, Git exposure is essential
- Strong debugging and analysis skills, for root causing complex issues
Excellent English communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience in GPU driver testing on Linux
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and neural network architectures
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins and code reviews tools like gitlab
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
