JOB DETAILS:
Location: Longmont, Colorado
Onsite/Hybrid: Onsite / 40 hours per week
Duration: Summer 2026 - approximately 6/2026 to 8/2026
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
We are seeking highly motivated Application Engineering intern/co-op to join our team. In this role –
You will be creating custom designs to help develop new front-end features in the Vivado and Vitis tool suites
Running these designs in hardware to confirm the correct design and tool behavior
We will train you to file bug cases with engineering to improve the tool quality
You will be interacting with engineers from Software development and testing, Marketing, and worldwide customer support to ensure the new software features are robust, meet the customer's needs and are well documented.
You will directly impact AMDs tool suites
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- A highly motivated intern working towards a master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or embedded systems
- Relevent knowledge areas include:
- Vivado / Vitis experience
- Embedded operating systems, device drivers
- RTL coding and verification
- DSP / Matlab
- Python scripting
- Prior FPGA / SoC development experience is desired
