THE PERSON:
As a Systems Design Engineer, you will drive balanced, scalable, and automated solutions. In this high visibility position, your software systems engineering expertise will be necessary towards product development, definition, and root cause resolution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Management & Integration: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake, and ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all systems.
- Reporting & Visualization: Build and optimize dashboards and reports in Sigma and Power BI to support business decision-making and translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Analysis & Optimization: Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement, collaborate with business teams to define roadmaps and reporting requirements.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Finance, Operations) to align data strategies, communicate findings and recommendations clearly in fluent English to technical and non-technical audiences.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with Snowflake (data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning).
- Hands-on expertise in Sigma Reporting and Power BI for dashboard development and data visualization.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational databases.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, etc.) and modern data architectures.
- Knowledge of ETL tools, scripting languages (Python preferred), and API integrations.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
