Job Summary

To support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Facilities Supervisor located in Henrico, VA .  

Reporting to the Facilities Manager the  Facilities Supervisor role will be responsible for providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of moderately complex activities related to the efficient management of facilities to ensure that buildings under the organization's responsibility meet the required company and government standards and regulations.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop specifications relating to equipment, wiring, and utilities to ensure operations are within government regulations.
  • Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex facility modifications, including costs of contract labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Plan and coordinate with staff activities related to space allocation, equipment and furniture layout using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Work with senior managers from various departments to provide engineering and technical support.
  • Manage daily facility operations and resolve any escalated issues.
  • Oversee repair and preventive maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.
  • Recommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies.
  • Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, outside customers and functional peer groups at management levels.
  • Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules.
  • Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience and training.
  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Supervision experience.
  • Microsoft office experience
  • Strong mechanical experience
  • Manufacturing experience is a preferred
