Salary Range: $16.41 - $22.56/hour (DOE)
Summary and Qualifications:
The primary purpose and function of the Accounts Payable Coordinator is to prepare accurate payments for Practice Hospitals and Central Team Support (CTS). This position is also responsible for, prepping and scanning invoices and checks, audit retrieval, and archiving as necessary.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Accurate & timely entry of data into accounting system.
- Create payments; accurately match payments to invoices, and verification of invoice numbers, amounts, and proper vendor selections.
- Manage funds to stay with budgeted guidelines set by Finance.
- Adhere to weekly check run schedule and daily deadlines for check routing.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with CTS teams, hospitals, and suppliers.
- Research and recommend resolutions to invoice issues.
- File and archive documents as required.
- Retrieve audit documents as required.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Two years of accounts payable experience with strong knowledge of accounting process (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger) are required.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining excel spreadsheets is required.
- Oracle and OrderRight experience are preferred.
