BSW ROUND ROCK MEDICAL CENTER EXPANSION 2025

Our expansion, spanning 165,000 square feet, will introduce a state-of-the-art patient tower to our Round Rock hospital, tailored to accommodate the evolving needs of our rapidly growing population. Among its highlights, the tower will house an innovative 11-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, alongside expanded capacities for crucial departments such as med/surg and labor and delivery.

Anticipate a host of enhancements, including:

·Additional operating rooms, cath labs, and procedural areas.

·Expansions and upgrades to communal spaces.

·Implementation of advanced equipment across various departments.

Full Time 4-10s Monday-Friday with Rotating Call on Evenings and Weekends

The Cardiovascular Invasive Technician is accountable to surgically scrub in and help with equipment. Helps the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures is a secondary assignment. Prepares room and equipment, transports and monitors patients. May handle medications in accordance with responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • Helps Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, diagnostic and interventional, peripheral and coronary, interventional and thrombolytic therapy.
  • Related duties include: preparing and maintaining sterile 1 fields for lab procedures; printing film and calculating stenosis on peripheral cases; circulating in procedure rooms and collecting data on appropriate forms; monitoring patient's ECG and vital signs while in Catheterization Lab, notifying Physician of variances, and providing emergency procedures (CPR, defibrillation, etc.) as needed.
  • Performs pre-and post-procedure care. Monitors and orients patients for specials/catheterization procedures.
  • Answers related questions to make patient relaxed. Transports patients to and from procedural area.
  • Communicates relevant medical information to physicians and other staff through required documentation on specified medical record forms.
  • Records, enters into data computer and calculates catheterization data, gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis.
  • Follows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self and staff.
  • Maintains inventory of and orders procedure room supplies. Ensures procedure rooms are adequately stocked and equipment is safe to use.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • One (1) year clinical experience preferred.
  • Use of basic office equipment and computer literacy required.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-manager problem solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate precision and flexibility.
  • Use of basic office equipment and computer literacy required.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular values, instrumentation and techniques.
