Position Summary
The Associate Director of Change Management will support cross-college efforts to address compliance decision processes change management and create documentation and archival processes. The Associate Director will play a significant role in supporting the Executive Director in providing support and leadership to campus leaders and stakeholders with compliance to legislative and policy changes, project management.
This is a temporary project position with a duration of 12 months. Continuation beyond this period is dependent upon departmental needs and available funding.
Pay, Benefits & Work SchedulePosition Salary Range: $87,556/year - $126,956/year
The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Typically, new hire starts no higher than $97,406 per year based on Bellevue College Exempt salary schedule.

The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, which means that you are not eligible for overtime pay.

About the DepartmentThe Office of Community Care & Institutional Transformation has a primary function at Bellevue College of centering the people that make up our community. We understand the root causes of harm and disrupt behaviors that sustain systems rooted in a false belief in human hierarchy through continuous learning and collaborative practices. We are responsible for advancing community care in all of our institutional strategies and practices.
Essential FunctionsProgram and position review
- In conjunction with the Executive Director of Compliance Change Management, support ongoing program and position review to ensure compliance with federal and state civil rights guidelines.
- Establish and communicate schedule for ongoing review. Provides high level assistance regarding short and long-term compliance strategy.
Documentation and process/ project management
- In conjunction with the Executive Director of Compliance Change Management, create and support departmental processes for articulation of program goals, data, and institutional objectives specifically related to federal and state civil rights and Title II compliance
- In coordination with the Executive Director of Compliance Change Management, provide clear guidelines and metrics for ongoing assessment, written procedures for decision-making review.
- Track and maintain flowcharts and other written processes.
- Provide clear communication and transparency of processes
- Develop and cultivate collaboration with departments across the college to ensure change management process align with all governing laws and internal policies.
Cross- divisional support/ cross-college collaboration
- In coordination with the Executive Director of Compliance Change Management, track college division compliance in implementation of goals identified in compliance strategic plan.
- Provide high level coaching to divisions and departments with guidance on implementing change and documentation processes.
- Provide project management support to track and implement identified areas of federal compliance including but not limited to civil rights and Title II.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally- accredited college. Any combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in change management, training, facilitation, and organizational leadership.
- Experience leading efforts at evaluating and supporting institutional efforts with a people-centered approach.
- Experience developing project management plans and associated training with presentational materials.
- Experience fostering collaboration between individuals and teams from various areas and with differing perspectives and philosophies.
- Knowledge of state and federal policies that impact higher education.
- Experience using data to support change management processes.
- The ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and discretion.
- Terminal degree from a regionally-accredited college.
