JOB PURPOSE:  

Develops, enhances, and maintains various business office systems processes, including electronic invoicing, accounting reconciliations, and reporting. Works on various project teams to design and implement new/updated programs, e.g., fuel brand initiatives, loyalty programs, etc.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES

  • Hands on IT experience with:
    • Enterprise applications/programming
    • File/data structures & imports/exports (SFTP, Powershell)
    • Reporting (SSRS/SQL)
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Windows server
    • PDI Enterprise application
  • Demonstrated skills in:
    • Analysis of systems operations & corresponding user procedures
    • Understanding business needs and determining/developing system solutions
    • Communication, both written and verbal
    • Presentations and meeting facilitation
    • Problem solving in technical environments
    • Organization and multi-tasking/prioritization
    • System/procedure documentation
    • Working with non-technical personnel, involving systems and processes
    • General analysis and critical thinking
  • High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years IT experience required. Preference will be given to candidates that have higher level IT training or education.
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally drive to various Michigan locations. Non-frequent airline travel may be required. Occasional overnight stays may be necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: A typical day will include the below.

  • Develop, update, and maintain electronic invoicing processes. Responsible for related file imports (via SFTP/scripts) from external suppliers and associated PDI processing (systems import programs, data presentation/manipulation, & user procedures). Work with cross-functional teams and outside suppliers (various product vendors, PDI Technologies, etc.) on individual projects.
  • Develop, update, and maintain item reconciliation and other business and accounting processes. Responsible for related file imports (via SFTP/scripts) from external suppliers and associated PDI processing, such as system import programs, application menus, data manipulation, and exports. May work with outside suppliers, e.g., DTN (Data Transmission Network), State of Michigan, & PDI Technologies. Involvement in various cross-functional projects, regarding new requirements in this area.
  • Develop, update, and maintain system reporting, using a variety of tools. Work with various teams to define needs, design new/changed formats, and implement solutions, including set-up of batch processes.
