Provide regular feedback, career coaching, and mentorship to engineers. • Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and actively manage career progression and retention. • Lead hiring efforts to scale the engineering team, ensuring a high bar for technical excellence and cultural add. • Balance team workloads, matching engineers with projects that align with both business priorities and their personal growth goals. • Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) from scoping to deployment, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with high quality. • Partner closely with Product Managers, DevOps and stakeholders to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and define release scopes. • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) and continuously optimize team velocity and processes. • Establish guardrails for production stability, managing release rollbacks, hotfixes, and post-mortem analyses when issues arise. • Active participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical design choices to ensure scalable, maintainable systems. • Align engineering efforts with technical debt reduction and scaling infrastructure. • Champion engineering excellence by enforcing high standards for testing (unit, integration, automation), CI/CD pipelines, and documentation. • Act as a sounding board for engineers to unblock complex technical roadblocks.
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in managing R&D teams in enterprise software companies. • Demonstrated expertise in product lifecycle management, from concept to delivery, with a track record of success in bringing innovative products to market. • Experience in strategic hiring, mentoring, and developing top talent, with a passion for cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. • Deep technical expertise in software engineering, architecture, and design, with a strong understanding of modern development methodologies, cloud technologies, and SaaS delivery models. • Ability to navigate complex technical challenges and business priorities, with a strategic mindset, great analytical skills, and informed decision-making. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • B.E/BTech & advanced degree (e.g., MA, M.Sc., or Ph.D.) in Computer Science or related fields
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills: • Experience with Workflow Orchestration products or related domains, with a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics. • Experience in successfully driving organizational transformation and change management initiatives to foster innovation, agility, and scalability. • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
