BMC Software is hiring a sales-focused data leader to deliver on a strategic mandate from the Chief Revenue Officer: build and execute the go-to-market data strategy that powers our global revenue engine. This is a hands-on, insight-driven role for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales, data, and execution—and knows how to turn analysis into outcomes.

As a trusted partner to the CRO and sales leadership, you will bring structure, clarity, and focus to our revenue operations. Working closely with teams across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations, you'll ensure that the right insights are in the right hands—driving smarter decisions, better performance, and scalable growth.

This role is less about managing technical systems, and more about connecting the dots, shaping the sales strategy through data, and ensuring teams stay aligned and accountable.


Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC Software's and your own success:
  • Partner with senior sales leadership to turn strategic priorities into a unified go-to-market data approach that drives execution and growth
  • Identify and operationalize the key sales performance indicators that matter—making them part of leadership dashboards and daily sales routines
  • Build and scale a Sales Data Playbook that helps frontline teams, managers, and partners take consistent, data-informed actions
  • Lead regular business reviews with sales and cross-functional leaders to ensure insights translate into focused, timely decisions
  • Create a clear, trusted, and actionable GTM data framework by aligning Salesforce, Aviso, and other sales tools around shared goals
  • Foster a culture of data-driven execution by turning insights into practical guidance for teams across the go-to-market organization


To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

  • You have partnered closely with senior sales leadership to shape strategy and improve performance through data-led insight
  • You think like a consultant—comfortable analyzing problems, aligning stakeholders, and driving practical, high-impact solutions
  • You translate complex data into clear business guidance that resonates with sales teams, not just analysts or systems teams
  • You are fluent in GTM concepts and experienced in creating sales metrics, dashboards, and management routines that drive accountability
  • You've worked with Salesforce, Aviso, and related platforms, but your focus is always on the outcomes the tools enable
  • You're a collaborative communicator, confident leading discussions across functions to turn insight into coordinated action

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $168,075 - $280,125
