As the Manager of Product Development at BMC, you'll lead the Product Quality Group, ensuring that our products maintain top-notch quality standards and drive continuous improvement efforts across all our product lines. Your role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to delivering consistently high-quality products.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead the Product Quality Group, overseeing the quality assessment of different product lines. • Maintain and drive the execution of BMC Quality Management System • Conduct comprehensive Quality plan and Quality Assurance reviews for diverse product lines. • Spearhead the development of Quality policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines. • Champion the enhancement of development processes to align with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies, including the improvement of QA tools. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality requirements for product development and ensure they are integrated into the development process. • Conduct regular reviews of QA processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. • Establish and maintain QA metrics and KPIs to measure and improve product quality. • Manage and analyze organizational quality-related data, presenting insights to the leadership team. • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence • Communicate Quality issues, and risks to stakeholders, including senior management. • Provide hands-on support in managing and driving quality initiatives.
Experience/Qualifications:
Qualification: BE/BTech OR equivalent experience in software for systems and/or applications. A master's degree in computer science or related disciplines is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role. • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices. • Proven experience in implementing and managing QA processes in a software development environment. • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks. • Drive the adoption of quality assurance tools and technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Quality assurance certifications (e.g., ISTQB,CQI, PMI etc. ) are desirable but not compulsory.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 4,166,900 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 
The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
