Primary responsibilities for the role are: • Perform management duties, including, hiring, training, performance monitoring, mentoring, advising, promotions, terminations, and work prioritization. • Manage production environments to ensure systems are running efficiently, effectively, accurately, and securely. Providing communication and escalation to stakeholders on critical incidents or problems. • Oversees and enforces information technology policies on security of applications, application infrastructure, and enterprise information. • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity. • Defines and documents project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource allocation that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. • Ensure the Technology portfolio remains modern with respect to applications, infrastructure, and services. • Manage 60+ Enterprise business applications • Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans. • Displays empathy, flexibility, and a collaborative approach, being a team player and understanding the IT needs of various stakeholders. • You can embrace, live, and breathe our BMC values every day, and promote BMC on BMC   Success Behaviors: • Thought leader and change agent in the establishment of an enterprise-wide strategy for application management, program, and project management. • Understand how to apply technology to improve the operational effectiveness or efficiency of specific IT functions or applications. • Understand enterprise scale, integrated applications from a process and business perspective. • Understands and can articulate how BMC solutions align to the internal needs. • Executes projects in compliance with the processes and standards of BMC • Receives positive Customer feedback from BMC leadership, teams, and peers. • Communicates and orchestrates actions effectively for project success (e.g. proactively mitigates risks before issues impact the project). • Escalates appropriately for issues impacting internal opportunities, project delivery or Customer satisfaction, following process and policy. • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders. • Continuously improves own skills and proactively seeks new learning and engagement opportunities. • Identifies new or emergent business opportunities and works with internal stakeholders for follow up. • Fulfills all Ethics and Compliance training/testing requirements to always protect BMC interests and assets.
Qualifications/Experience/Certifications  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or a related field. • A high-performing individual with a talent to influence and lead with minimal supervision. • Prior experience in leading, managing, and developing a team of engineers to design, deploy, and manage corporate IT application infrastructure to ensure 24x7 availability, including managing on-call rotations. • Excellent probable cause, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrates a proven track record of success in strategic planning, operational execution, and security management within IT operations. • Experience in an Automation Center of Excellence, automating to operational excellence. • Experience with Agile Development Software (Jira) • Operating systems & Networking – Linux, AIX, Unix, Windows, VMWare, Routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls. • Have worked with or basic understanding of DevOps Application infrastructure such as: GitHub, Jenkins, Containers, Kubernetes, Web Methods, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Jira, Confluence, Informatica, Active Directory, Okta, or similar. • Managing Operations in an Agile environment • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities as well as be flexible to manage and incorporate change is necessary. • The ability to resolve problems and find solutions.

BMC Software maintains a strict policy of not requesting any form of payment in exchange for employment opportunities, upholding a fair and ethical hiring process. At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 5,408,900 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 
The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
