BMC Helix is hiring a Senior Quality Automation Engineer with a strong ownership mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality, stable, and scalable SaaS products. This role blends 50% automation and 50% manual testing, requiring deep hands-on expertise across the product lifecycle, automation frameworks, DevOps, SRE principles, and complex enterprise use cases.

- Own and drive overall product quality, preventing regressions and customer facing defects.
- Define and execute test strategies, ensuring comprehensive manual and automated coverage.
- Design, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks, ensuring high stability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Automate new test cases and maintain existing ones with high reliability and low maintenance.
- Review design documents; identify risks early in features, upgrades, and patches.
- Define and implement performance testing strategies, integrating and scalability testing into the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and platform teams for seamless integrations and releases.
- Mentor QA/automation engineers and uphold high engineering quality standards.
- Track key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and automation.
- Exhibit strong ownership, leadership, and resilience while balancing multiple strategic initiatives and delivering results with minimal supervision.
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- 10+ years of QA experience; 5+ years developing automation frameworks using Selenium + Java.
- Strong expertise in automation frameworks, regression execution, and Agile environments.
- Hands-on with Selenium, Java, Jenkins, container tech (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
- Experience testing Web, API, and Mobile applications.
- Understanding of scalable system design and enterprise SaaS architecture.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI tools and apply them to testing workflows.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP).
- Excellent communication, analysis, and documentation skills.
