The IZOT Release team supports IZOT org to release software on quarterly basis, working with product teams on projects to improve overall quality and software development cycle.
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Product Developer to join our Release Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and optimizing build, install and automation systems. This role involves working on the development and maintenance of our internal processes to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
- Assist in the development and optimization of build, install and automation systems for internal engineering processes.
- Develop and maintain scripts for build automation, deployment, and installs using Windows scripting (command prompt/bat file) and Unix scripting.
- Manage and optimize Jenkins jobs and pipelines for build and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve build, install, deployment, and automation issues in a timely manner.
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- Strong experience in Windows scripting (command prompt/bat file).
- Unix scripting.
- Experience with Jenkins for pipeline and automation processes.
- Git skills including creating source repositories.
- Strong knowledge of Java and associated build tools.
- Experience with AWS services and deployment.
- Python and Mainframe knowledge/experience is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of the software development process.
