Job Overview
The Benefits Lead is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for the execution, administration, and continuous improvement of Bob's Discount Furniture's Benefits and Leave of Absence programs. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless, compliant, and employee-centered services. This position is critical to supporting Bob's associates through clear communication, efficient systems, and a deep understanding of benefits strategy and operations. The work environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and people-focused.

Key Skills for Success
To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate strengths in the following skill areas:

Core Competencies & Expertise

  • Administration of benefit and leave of absence programs, including system workflows (e.g., Workday)
  • Collaboration with third-party administrators, benefit vendors, HRIS, and Payroll
  • Benefits billing, auditing, and invoice processing
  • Strategy advising and plan design input for benefits programs
  • Execution and ownership of annual open enrollment processes
  • Drafting and managing employee benefits communications
  • Leave of Absence compliance and administration
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance and Payroll
  • High-level verbal communication for associate support
  • Strong written communication for procedures and internal content

Preferred Competencies & Skills

  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS systems
  • Experience serving on a 401k Committee and fulfilling fiduciary responsibilities
  • Problem-solving orientation and continuous process improvement mindset
  • Customer service-oriented approach to associate inquiries and issue resolution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with benefits and LOA program administration
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Demonstrated communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with Payroll and Finance interactions
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks with accuracy

Physical Demands
Standard office work environment with occasional in-person collaboration or team events. This role may include extended periods of time at a computer and minimal physical activity.

Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities:

$90,000 - $110,000 annual base salary
