Job Description

Starting salary range: $140,000 - $150,000

Brink's Global Services U.S., a division of Brink's, Incorporated, is the premier provider of precious commodities, diamonds and jewelry, armored car transportation, ATM servicing, currency and coin processing, and other value added services to retailers, financial institutions, and other commercial and government entities. Job Summary:   

The General Manager is responsible for the overall revenue growth and profitability of the market, including P&L and budgeting, supervision of management teams, customer service and retention, developing business opportunities, employee training and development, safety programs and promotion of all corporate goals and objectives.   This position will have a blend of functional operations and business development responsibilities.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide leadership and direction to the specified Strategic Markets in both functional operations and business development activities 
  • Own the P&L for the market and achieve financial and business plan results for the plan year  
  • Support the Senior Director Operations in providing the leadership necessary to organize the market logistics and aggressively develop a product-driven organization 
  • Manage key performance indicators, including labor, quality and other business measurements. 
  • Identifies ways to improve management of costs, continually improve margins and drive service to positively impact business results 
  • Develop and execute operational plans to meet predetermined financial projections and goals, aligned with sales leadership to successfully execute the strategies as agreed  
  • Develop and execute Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean methodology
  • Ensure that the market is the most efficient, quality-oriented, highest value provider of like services in the market by establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships 
  • Proactively reduce risk exposure and ensure implementation of measures to reduce worker's compensation injury costs and security losses within the market 
  • Establish and maintain accountability on all levels of the market; maintain positive Employee Relations and work environment 
  • Support, coach and provide leadership to Managers and Supervisors in all areas of operations,  
  • Provide counsel to market management team and interface between region and headquarters staff to ensure maximum efficiency in execution of work and communication on regional issues involving headquarters initiatives (e.g. IT, Legal, HR, Finance, etc.) 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 7 years management experience 
  • Minimum of 3 years business development experience 
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience managing profit & loss and key performance indicators 
  • Must be 21 years of age  
  • A valid weapons permit or ability to pass applicable weapons licensing requirements 
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule with a wide range of hours including but not limited to weekends and where necessary holidays 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Expert knowledge of logistical operations, products, services, policies, and procedures, in addition to a familiarity with the customers and the industries serviced 
  • Large market experience  
  • Working knowledge of Lean/Process Improvement methodologies 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Lean methodology
