Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary IT Director – BRM Corporate Functions and Program Management to lead strategic technology initiatives across Finance, Legal, and other core corporate functions. This leader will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, legacy system modernization, business case development, and investment alignment for major initiatives that may be global in scope or focused within a specific country or region but carry enterprise-wide impact.
This role will serve as the key orchestrator between IT, business stakeholders, and executive sponsors, ensuring clarity, alignment, and stakeholder confidence through the early lifecycle of each initiative. The ideal candidate is not only a strategic thinker but also a disciplined planner and a confident communicator who thrives in complex, cross-functional environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the strategy development for major corporate function initiatives (e.g., Finance Transformation, Legal System Modernization).
- Drive legacy system modernization efforts, including current-state assessment, target-state definition, migration strategy, and roadmap planning.
- Develop business cases and CERs (Capital Expenditure Requests) by collaborating closely with regional BRMs, IT tower leads, finance controllers, and function heads.
- Apply strong analytical and financial modeling skills to evaluate ROI, IRR, and payback for proposed initiatives, ensuring sound investment decisions.
- Compile and deliver executive-ready presentations and strategy documents, clearly articulating value, costs, risk, and alignment with business priorities.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment at the corporate and regional level to ensure initiatives meet both global priorities and local needs.
- Act as the primary point of accountability for the front-end of major programs—strategy, planning, scoping, stakeholder buy-in, and investment approval.
- Ensure clear articulation of program objectives, value realization, and business impact before handoff to the execution teams.
- Partner closely with executive sponsors to socialize strategic initiatives, remove roadblocks, and drive informed decision-making.
- Serve as the program manager and accountable owner for initiatives that are directly tied to a corporate function, guiding both strategy and execution when appropriate.
- Act as a strategic connector across the organization, fostering alignment between IT leadership, corporate functional teams, and country/regional leaders.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT Strategy, Program Management, or Business Relationship Management (BRM) roles.
- Proven experience leading legacy system modernization projects, including platform evaluations, cloud migration strategy, and decommissioning roadmaps.
- Deep understanding of corporate functions such as Finance and Legal, and their enabling technologies (e.g., Oracle, SAP, ServiceNow, CLM tools).
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, including experience in business case modeling, investment justification, and budget alignment.
- Proven track record in developing multi-year strategies, producing high-impact presentation materials, and securing executive sponsorship.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior stakeholders and executive sponsors across global and regional teams.
- Strong program planning and governance experience; PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to translate complex ideas into structured, compelling proposals.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
Success Profile:
- Strategic Thinker – Can synthesize business needs into a cohesive technology strategy.
- Modernization Champion – Leads legacy platform transformations with a focus on scalability and value.
- Connector – Builds trusted relationships across IT, business, and executive layers.
- Financial Analyst – Strong with numbers, ROI modeling, and investment justifications.
- Initiative Driver – Proactively moves ideas forward from concept to funding.
- Advisor – Offers clear guidance to business leaders with a deep understanding of both IT and functional domain needs.
- Execution Collaborator – While not the executor, ensures successful handoff and maintains alignment with delivery teams.
